August of the 2014 Birds of a Feather Calendar. Photo is called "Bald Eagle Out of the Nest" and "Eagle Dreams" and "Bald Eagle Blue Sky Soar". An adult Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) has it's wings spread as it drops out of it's large nest with a small chick barely seen in the nest among the tall trees in the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge
